The Plot In You: North American Tour 2024

Through balancing even the most extreme dynamics, The Plot In You consistently overturn and upend expectations. On any given track, it might seem like they’re about to go one way, but the band will turn on a dime and shift course before the crowd can even catch a breath. This uncanny element of surprise has entrenched the gold-selling Ohio quartet—Landon Tewers [vocals], Josh Childress [guitar], Ethan Yoder [bass], and Michael Cooper [drums] — on the cutting edge of rock music. Whether it be threads of alternative, electronic, pop, or R&B, nothing is off limits, and everything is fair game for their creative process. That process has continued to morph. Following a series of fan-favorite releases, the band made major waves with DISPOSE [2018]. “FEEL NOTHING” surged on social media as a viral phenomenon, generating hundreds of millions of streams and picking up a gold certification in the U.S., Canada and Australia. The musicians only maintained this momentum with Swan Song in 2021. Hysteria rated it “9-out-of-10”. Simultaneously, they sold out shows coast-to-coast. 

During 2023, the band kickstarted another era with Vol. 1. “Divide” having generated 16 million Spotify streams and counting followed by “Left Behind”, exploding to the tune of 31 million Spotify streams with no signs of slowing down. Upon the arrival of “Forgotten”, Revolver praised it among the “6 Best New Songs Right Now.” The Plot In You's Vol. 2 EP is a powerful showcase of the band's evolution, blending raw emotion with polished musicality and stands as a testament to The Plot In You's growth and artistic maturity, captivating listeners with its intense yet introspective narratives with tracks “Closure”, “Don’t Look Away”, and “All That I Can Give” further solidifying their place as one of the genre's most compelling acts.

Now with the impending arrival of their new EP, Vol. 3, the band is set to captivate fans once again. Featuring three compelling tracks, the lead single "Been Here Before" explores the emotional turbulence of relationships, weaving a narrative of enduring the highs and lows. "Spare Me" delves into the heavy burden of societal pressures and the palpable guilt that comes from feeling helpless in the face of overwhelming news. "Pretend" offers a raw look at the world's current state, channeling a sense of disillusionment and examining the disengagement of looking away from the tragedies that are happening daily. Vol. 3 promises to be a powerful addition to the band’s discography, reflecting their knack for tackling profound themes with sincerity and intensity.

No stranger to turning a critical eye toward both the external commotion and internal battles that rage deep within the confines of one’s own mind, Connecticut post-metalcore innovators Currents don’t pretend that life is a bed of well-manicured roses. Rather, it has been by way of exploring the forbidden realms of a tortured psyche and ferociously searching for meaning amidst uncertain chaos that the band has won the hearts of metal fans across the globe; a feat evidenced by 80+ million catalog streams and packed tours supporting the likes of Ice Nine Kills, Thy Art is Murder, August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, We Came As Romans, Fit For A King, and more.

Keen on backing up impactful themes such as heartache, abandonment, climate change, and animal abuse, with technical riffage and emotive atmospherics, Currents’ second full-length album The Way It Ends (2020) saw the group connect with their largest audience to date, selling over 6,000 vinyl despite the global touring shutdown, rocketing to No. 2 on the Top New Artist and Current Hard Rock Billboard Charts, and earning glowing praise from prominent outlets such as Kerrang! who described the band’s work as, “A narcotic blend of melodrama and madness.”

Now, back with their first new material since their popular sophomore record, vocalist Brian Wille, bassist Chris Pulgarin, drummer Matt Young, and guitarists Chris Wiseman and Ryan Castaldi’s latest single ‘The Death We Seek’ not only taps back into this familiar darkness, but continues to push the story forward.

Recorded in December 2021 at guitarist Chris Wiseman’s studio in Beacon, New York, Currents once again called upon The Way it Ends / I Let the Devil In producer Ryan Leitru (In Search Of Solace, Like Moths To Flames, WCAR), and seasoned mix/mastering engineer Jeff Dunne (Wage War, Silent Planet, Make Them Suffer) to help guide the sonic direction of the new track.

Together, the team churned out a seething blend of progressive metalcore-laced elements and moody post-hardcore to fuel the fire of Currents’ narrative message.

“The single follows the loose concept of two individuals attempting to stop a looming apocalypse, only to be sabotaged by forces beyond their control or understanding,” frontman Brian Wille explains. “The song itself is about the weight of our choices and our responsibility for their outcomes. We’re also attempting to paint a picture of the world surrounding the overarching story we hope to create.”

“This song serves as a continuation to ‘The Way it Ends’ while also calling back to our first record ‘The Place I Feel Safest.’” the singer continues. “It was written around the time TWIE was released, so it carries a similar feel. We thought it was a good way to build on the story behind the music and reintroduce ourselves to the world after a period of relative silence.”

Biding their time for the right moment to strike, Currents – much like the apocalyptic collapse foretold in their latest single – plow ahead like an unstoppable force, expressing their vision through anguished eyes, pounding riffs, and the powerful desire to lay the groundwork for the plotlines of a larger story still to come.

Siphoning precise raps through a battlefield of distorted guitars and glitchy hues, Zero 9:36 holds up a mirror in his music and beckons reflection. The Philadelphia post-genre sonic insurgent, singer, creative, and rapper rhymes with the force and fire of a prizefighter. After grinding under-the-radar for years and augmenting his signature style with frequent collaborator and producer No Love For The Middle Child, he was signed as the flagship act of ATCO Records. Powered by highlights such as “Leave The Light On” and “WWYDF,” the You Will Not Be Saved EP introduced him while generating 70 million-plus streams.

On its heels, he joined forces with grandson on “Again (Text Voter XX to 40649)” in addition to dropping the acoustic Barebones Vol. 1 EP in 2020. His EP ...If You Don’t Save Yourself was released at the beginning of 2021 and instantly caught on. The single “Adrenaline” hit #1 on Mediabase’s Active Rock airplay chart and stands as the #2 most played at the format that year. Zero toured hard and continued releasing steady hits on an endless tour cycle. Tracks like “Stuck In My Ways”, “Break Ft. Atreyu”, and “I’m Not” caught listeners' ears live and brought them into his world. Upon release, Loudwire raved, “‘I’m Not’ is a banger with Zero 9:36’s nimble lyrical flow playing out over tribal drums and a wall of guitars and electronic backing.” Zero’s latest releases “I Felt It All” and “The Fear” have become fan favorites and mainstays on stations like SiriusXM Octane.

Adapting to any setting, Zero 9:36 has toured alongside Shinedown, Neck Deep, Three Days Grace, Asking Alexandria, Nothing More, Bullet For My Valentine, Wage War, among others. His debut headline tour was the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. Zero has made festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville, Louder Than Life, Inkcarceration, and many others. His collaborations are an eclectic list including Travis Barker and grandson. Hollywood Undead and Atreyu.The Warning and Scarlxrd. Zero 9:36 proudly occupies a lane of his own and in the process has amassed over 400 million streams across DSPs.
